Do you have a wardrobe full of clothes that you no longer wear? Are you looking for a sustainable way to refresh your wardrobe? Then why not join us for our very first Clothes Swap here at Flourish in Dumfries Town Centre on Thursday 22nd September 7pm-9.30pm.

As part of Recycle Week and Secondhand September we are hosting a fun way to sustainably refresh your wardrobe whilst helping to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry. It's responsible for 2.1 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. We as consumers need to take practical measures to reduce our carbon footprint. After all, eco-friendly clothing isn’t only about buying from sustainable brands so why not swap instead.

Please bring quality, well-maintained items (no stains, tears, pilling etc.) – things that you yourself would want to receive if it was new-to-you.

We'll be opening our shop on the night so you can happily enjoy a browse. There will be nibbles and refreshments to keep you fuelled while you swap & shop.

Bring clothes, leave with clothes - who knows what treasures you’ll discover from someone else's wardrobe!

Any left over items will be donated to our friends at Dumfries Slow Fashion Movement, who will be upcycling the garments for their Dumfries Slow Fashion Festival in October.

RULES OF THE RAIL | No Underwear or Swimwear unless they have NEVER BEEN WORN with labels on. Swapped clothes or accessories must be in good and clean condition. Drop off between 5 to 10 items, although you can donate more if you'd love to, then join us on the night for swapping. If you can, please pop clothes on a hanger & don't forget to bring a bag to take your new to you clothes home in.

Drop any donations between Sat 10th September & the 21st September to Flourish during our shop opening hours.
