IMPORTANT UPDATE|LAST MINUTE CHANGE TO VENUE

Due to high winds and a weather warning forecasted for Saturday sadly we won't be able to host our the November event on the high street. But the GOOD NEWS is we won't be cancelling but just changing our venue....phew! Dumfries Market Festival will now take place in the Loreburne Centre in the previous Next store from 10am until 4pm.

Safety measures will be in place including a one way system, hand sanitiser stations, face coverings to be worn if you can, trace & trace, social distancing and contactless payments.

We would also encourage you to pre order from our marvellous line up of traders if possible, scroll down the page to find details and links.

Please do help us out and share this post as we are keen to let everyone know. We hope you will still join us to shop small, shop local and support your high street in Dumfries.

The Guild Dumfries can't wait until we host our next Dumfries Market Festival on the 14th November. We have a wonderful response to our previous events since we relaunched in September. We've been inundated with messages from many visitors on the day telling us how much they enjoyed the wonderful array of interesting and desirable items for sale, the fabulous entertainment by talented local performers and the laid back, relaxed vibe around the whole town centre. Come & enjoy a micro festival in the historic market town of Dumfries on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Showcasing a curated and carefully selection of talented makers, creatives, food & drink producers from the region & beyond. Supported by volunteers & celebrating community spirit. Plus a superb line up of entertainment & live music from 10am until 4pm in Dumfries town centre.

The Guild (Dumfries) C.I.C  will transform the town centre into a community festival for the day! Our launch event in March was a resounding success but further dates were curtailed due to Covid-19.  But we're over the moon to be back in September through to  November.

At each event you can visit our Makers Market at Queensberry Square and Fountain Square to meet the makers and creatives and find covetable products that you might not find elsewhere. Enjoy buying directly from the makers and supporting independent businesses, many who live and work right here in the region. Feast on festive food and take delight in a marvellous selection of beautifully crafted & unusual designs. It's the perfect opportunity to head into the town centre shop safely and local.

In less than two weeks time we'll be taking over Dumfries High Street at Dumfries Market Festival on the 14th November 2020. Come and explore our market and discover beautiful products and delicious food and drink from independent makers, artists and small businesses. We've over 30 stalls on market day from 10-4pm right in the heart of Dumfries. There really is something for everyone including homewares, craft kits, cake, jewellery, artisan beers, original art, illustrations, candles, cards, prints, soaps, flowers and so much more! Many of the businesses will be taking part in market for the very first time so we hope you'll support them. Your sure to find something you'll love.

So why not shop small, head to the high street & make a big difference! Meet them all on market day, place your advance orders.  You can find out about our inceredible ine up below. Lets us know you're coming by visiting our official event over on facebook.

Volunteers are needed on Market Festival days as well as in the weeks in between, so whether you can only spare a few hours once a month or a few hours once a week, we’d love to hear from you! Being a volunteer is a great way to meet new people who live in your area, put names to faces you see in the street and generally have a lot of fun. Everyone has a skill to share so we’d love to hear from you no matter what you do.
