Join Sybil from Solway Silver for the day and learn the art of fine silver jewellery making using silver clay, an eco-friendly and fun way to make silver jewellery. You will experience the process of designing and making with silver clay and the basic skills needed to work with it - rolling, texturing, moulding, firing and finishing.
You’ll be guided step by step throughout the class by expert local jeweller and silver clay artist Sybil Williamson, who will teach you how to make your very own beautiful fine silver pendant piece.
Whether you have some technical experience or not, you are invited to join our workshop where you’ll pick up some new skills and be able to take home something completely unique!
All the tools and materials you will need to craft your creation will be provided. Chains are not included, but there will be some available to purchase on the day. There will also be extra silver clay available to purchase if you wish to make more at home with your new found skills.
Classes are small, maximum class number is 8 participants, to ensure they get the personal tuition and encouragement they the need to help with creating each project. A minimum number of participants is required for this course to go ahead.
A Light lunch is included, plus Tea & refreshments are also provided throughout the day to keep you fuelled.
