Christmas Treasure Trail

Why not take part in the Christmas Treasure Trail at the Dumfries Christmas Festival & Lights Switch On organised by The Guild Dumfries on the 1st December. Wander around town collecting the letters for a chance to win some fabulous prizes including £100 Monaghan's voucher, a brand new girls bicycle donated by The Parlour plus much much more!

The Guild Dumfries have had such a positive response from both retailers and businesses throughout the town who've got behind this community festive extravaganza. We hope the treasure trail will encourage people to explore our town and visit all the wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants that will be open on the day.

To enter, pick up a treasure trail sheet at Midsteeple Box Office  on the High Street, entry is only £1.00 each. All you have to do is search in each of the businesses below for the letter, it might be somewhere inside or in the window. Collect all the letters marking them off on the treasure trail sheet. Then once you've collected all 35 letters arrange them into a Christmas anagram.

Return your completed form to The Midsteeple Box Office by 4pm. Correct entries and the winners will be announced live on stage after the Christmas Lights Switch On. All the correct entries will then be entered into a spectacular prize draw. The lucky winners will be drawn live on stage at 5.40pm on the Plainstanes after the Christmas Lights Switch On.

The Guild feel it is extremely important  alsothat local business take advantage of the increased footfall expected in the town on the day to encourage the message of Shop Local. We have many superb businesses located in our town centre and we wish them to benefit from this festival experience and share in the overall sense of community and the benefits of working collaboratively together.

Here's all the businesses taking part and you can find them on our Treasure Trail Map.
