Immerse yourself in mother nature this Mothers Day with an afternoon of seasonal flower arranging with To A Mountain Daisy Floristry and Flower Farm. Learn how to put together a stunning floral creation and indulge in a floral inspired afternoon tea, its the perfect way to celebrate this special day.
In this introduction to eco-friendly and plastic free flower arranging you will use the first of Springs flora in a sustainable way. During this workshop at The Guild in Dumfries, Rebecca and Lucy will introduce you to British cut flowers and tell you a little bit about their own flower farm right here in the region. Participants will learn the benefits of British flowers and basic techniques to design and create your arrangements, before getting hands on making your own design.
Pick flowers and colours you like the best of what’s growing from the Mountain Daisy Farm and create your own Spring arrangement with elements that are reusable to create at home.
To a Mountain Daisy will supply all the tools, materials and ingredients you will need to craft your creation but advise wearing of old clothes or an apron due to flower sap and use of scissors and wire.
To keep you fuelled you'll be served a bloomin’ marvellous afternoon tea. Expect a selection of floral inspired homemade cakes and sweet treats, each beautifully decorated with edible flora and fauna inspired garnishes. An assorted selection of finger sandwiches, savouries and traditional homemade scones with clotted cream and seasonal preserves also feature, alongside an extensive selection of light and fruity teas.
