Come along to this Angel workshop at Flourish in Dumfries with Leah Halliday. Leah will teach you step by step how to make your very own fabric angel. She'll take you through the doll making process step by step including tips on stuffing, button jointing and how to create hand stitched faces and hair.

All materials are provided including some lovely vintage linens, silks, embroidery and lace. Or why not create a heirloom keepsake angel and bring along some special fabric that means something to you, this could be grannies linen, some children clothes or special mementos which can be incorporated into your design.

There's alot to achieve at this workshop so you might not get your angel completely finished but Leah will ensure you know all the techniques and skills necessary so you can hand finish your doll at home.

Material included. Vintage and new fabrics, patchwork, lace, crochet, vintage linens, sewing machine thread, vintage doilies, handkerchiefs, embroidery threads, hollow fibre filling, vintage buttons, ribbon and yarn. Tools of the trade are also provided.

Classes are small to ensure you get the personal tuition you need to help with your project and get the best out of each workshop we host. There is a minimum number of participants required for this workshop to go ahead.

A Light lunch is included, plus Tea & refreshments are also provided throughout the day,
